Carol Singing - 21st December 2015

Over 120 residents came along on a warm December evening to join in with the annual carol singing in the village hall. This is always a very popular local event and as usual the village hall was packed.

The choirmaster once more was Paul Whitmarsh who has been kindly giving up his time to organise this event for many years.

As is traditional at the Crazies Hill carol singing, the evening started with "Once In Royal David's City" with the first verse sung by Guy Barwell who gave an excellent rendition. Everyone else then joined in with the following verses.

Accompanying the assembled masses were the the magnificent four piece woodwind quartet and our local volunteer choir organised by Rita. We had a new female soloist this year, Susanna Buckle, who sang beautifully and almost made up for some of the sounds coming from the audience.

Once it was over residents followed the torchlight path to The Horns where mince pies, mulled wine and soft drinks were enjoyed by all. You can relive the excitement of the evening by watching the video below.
