Egg Hunt 1st April 2024
With Easter being so early this year, the Residents’ Association’s annual Egg Hunt for the local children took place on April 1st. For once it was not actually raining during the Egg Hunt itself but due to the volume of water that had fallen from the skies in the preceding days, the school field was pretty much a quagmire. Good boots or wellingtons were certainly a requirement.

Whilst RA committee members, Nicky Dibbo, Sue Robinson, Dave smith, Nigel Dibbo and Tom Greenham scattered eggs around the field the eager children waited patiently at the gate for the appointed start time.

Once into the field the children wasted no time in seeking out the small, foil wrapped, chocolate eggs , from the periphery of the field and there was much excitement when eggs were found.

Meanwhile parents chatted and enjoyed the coffee and hot cross buns provided by the RA.

Although there seemed to be fewer children this year compared to previous years, The hunt was declared a great success by the participants. Especially as fewer seekers meant more eggs for each individual who did partake in the fun.
