Egg Hunt 10th April 2023

March 2023 was the wettest in living memory and this continued into April which meant a very soggy annual Easter egg hunt on Easter Monday. The children were not deterred though and over 25 turned up to look for the hundreds of small chocolate eggs which had been scattered over a very muddy school playing field.

The adults sheltered with tea, hot cross buns and a chat

Many thanks to RA committee member Laura Lord who organised the eggs as well as tea and hot cross buns for the parents who took full advantage of the wooden shelter on the school field, from where they supervised their children who were left to forage for the eggs.

The hunt is on!

The children of course did not mind about the weather. Some had brought umbrellas, some had not. All had wellingtons on to splash through the mud and the puddles, which for some was more fun than looking for the eggs! Despite the conditions all the eggs were found and collected into baskets for consumption later. Although one or two were eaten as they were found. All in all another successful village event which was appreciated by all who took part.
