Egg Hunt - 06th April 2015

The crowds started to gather early for the village's annual Easter egg hunt, no doubt helped by the glorious sunny morning.

No one wanted to miss out on being first to enter the egg hunt so the entrance had to be blocked until the appointed time.

The organisers even had to physically restrain the crowds from forcing the gate.

Meanwhile the egg hiders conferred and ensured all preparations were complete.

At last the CEO for the day, Priscilla McNair, declared the hunt open and the children poured in.

Followed sedately by parents and grandparents.

While the scramble for the eggs commenced.

Priscilla served up the teas, coffees and hot cross buns.

All that was left was for the children to have great fun collecting as many eggs as they could carry.
