Village Clean Up 26th Mar 2023
Over 25 villagers turned up on a damp and gloomy Sunday morning to take part in the annual litter pick, which the RA organises in conjunction with Wokingham and the Keep Britain Tidy’s Spring Clean.

It was great to see so many residents of our two wonderful hamlets take part and wanting to ensure we all live in a rubbish free area. It was also heartening to have so many families help out, from the very, very young to the older children and occasionally even some canine assistance or possibly hindrance.
Some of the willing volunteers
All areas were covered by the volunteers. Bowsey Hill, along Highfield Road, down to Rose Lane, around the Green, Kentons and Worleys Lane and then on through Crazies Hill down to Hennerton.

In all 12 bags of rubbish were collected, including a mud flap from a car. What happened to the rest of the car in unknown. The rubbish was left in the bus shelter and was picked up by Wokingham who provide an extra waste collection on these occasions.
