Village Clean Up 30th March 2019
Once more here was a record crowd of volunteers, including six children, who turned up to take part in the annual village clean up. It was great to see so many people, both young and old, who care about our community.

The good news is the amount of rubbish collected did seem to be down on previous years, as can be seen in the photo below. Hopefully this means people are more aware of their environment and are making an effort to keep our hamlets clean and tidy.
The prize for the strangest object collected goes to.... 'a toilet seat'. Why anyone should wish to dump such an object into the verge is a mystery. We did not inspect the seat too closely to determine whether it had been used or not!
